Code Review Simulator
Code Review Simulator: Godot 4 first-person sim/tycoon prototype
In a world where every service, including the government, has gone open source, can you survive by doing code reviews for cash?
You start in a small apartment reviewing pull requests from an in-world monitor. Read diffs, run checks, gather evidence, and make the final call: approve or deny.
Good reviews earn money and reputation. Bad reviews can let through broken code, hardcoded secrets, prompt injections, dangerous commands, risky dependencies, and eventually real-world fallout.
The long-term fantasy is building a messy physical code-review factory: cheap laptops, custom PCs, servers, routing tools, scripts, scanners, LLM boxes, quarantine machines, power bills, and automation layers that make you faster while creating new failure modes.
Current build has:
- First-person apartment interaction
- Diegetic fake OS / in-world monitor UI
- Manual review, CI, scripts, secret scan, dependency scan, and LLM checks
- Upgrade shop and inventory-backed progression
- Early city and shopping-mart prototype spaces
- Browser, Linux, Windows, and macOS builds
Next focus:
- Polishing the fake OS and core review loop
- Making bad approvals trigger visible world events
- Syncing disasters with in-game TV/news channels
- Cleaner scene transitions
- More world progression: roads, cars, shops, delivery drones, terrain, and authored assets
Assets note: currently using Kenney CC0 assets for many 3D gameplay assets, UI icons/input prompts, and UI audio SFX.
